New Year’s Resolution

What if we aimed for rejection? That’s my New Year’s resolution.

I know, it’s March. Almost April. But we’re still getting snow storms, I just paid the plumber 80 bucks to tell me I don’t have a plumbing issue, and I’m losing on my first resolution.

I have a pen pal who takes time to name his pets. He gives them funny but appropriate names, like One-eyed Jack and Limp. So goes New Year’s Resolution. Why not wait until you find a really good one before you commit to it? I found mine today from a daily post. Aim to receive 100 rejections in a year. What a thought.

Deborah: I once met a writer who aimed to receive one hundred rejections in a year. In the process, he received eight acceptances.
